Dr. Meredith’s Story...
From 1999-2002 she attended Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, TX. She was named "Best Intern" out of her graduating class, August 2002.

In 2002, Dr. Meredith opened Hands on Health Chiropractic in Grapevine, and she is still practicing there. She is one of the few chiropractors in the area to offer True Spinal Decompression on the DRX 9000C.

“I chose to become a chiropractor, because fourteen years ago I was playing high-school volleyball and was forced to sit on the sidelines due to lower back pain.  I was taking 16 Advil per day to mask the pain just so I could step out on the court and try to compete again. After my parents learned of the harmful side effects to the drugs, they took me to a chiropractor. The chiropractor did an exam, took some x-rays, and explained to me what was causing the lower back pain. What the chiropractor did and said made so much sense that I decided to become a chiropractor.”

Dr. Matt's Story...
Dr. Matt Dreadfulwater was born in Claremore, Oklahoma. He graduated from Jenks High School where he played varsity football for three years and won two state titles. He also ran track and field. After graduating, Dr. Matt attended the University of Oklahoma where he took his pre med classes. He then went on to Parker College of Chiropractic and graduated in 2010 and earned three degrees, two Bachelors of Science in Health and Wellness and Human Anatomy, as well as his Doctorate of Chiropractic. In September 2010, Dr. Matt joined Southlake Chiropractic as an associate doctor and then in March 2011 he started his own practice at Hands on Health Chiropractic.

Dr. Matt's passion for chiropractic care stemmed from the late Dr. Gallagher. Dr. Matt received treatment from Dr. Gallagher when he was ten years old. At that young age he was inspired by the success stories of the other patients and of Dr. Gallagher's treatment style. He loved the way he felt after being adjusted. During his pre med at the University of Oklahoma, Dr. Matt shadowed at Dr. Gallagher's clinic and knew that he was destined for chiropractic care.

While he is knowledgeable in all aspects of chiropractic, Dr. Matt has taken a specific interest in the sports aspect of chiropractic care. He seeks to give athletes relief from sports injuries with the appropriate wellness care and active rehab.

Dr. Matt enjoys spending time with his girlfriend and playing sports. He is also an extreme Oklahoma Sooner fan. He loves to watch the Sooners on Saturday and the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday.

Arika's Story...
I was first introduced to Chiropractic in 2003 when my mom began to work in the financial aid department at Parker College of Chiropractic. She would always come home and tell these stories about how she saw her chiropractic intern that morning and her headache went away or she would tell me about the unique principles chiropractors work by. She loved working at the College so much she was eventually promoted to the Director of the financial aid department. She loves giving students the ability to go to chiropractic school so they can learn to become doctors and treat patients with natural medicine.
I became personally involved with chiropractic in April when I myself began to work for Parker as a Chiropractic Assistant and eventually became an office manager at a Parker clinic in Flower Mound. I met so many educated people with such passion for their work as doctors. It was then too when I received my first adjustment. After that I was sold. I felt so much better and I didn’t even know I was in pain in the first place. My body just moved better. I began to sleep better. And most importantly my migraines slowly started to disappear.
Chiropractic is something that I live by now. I’m not so quick to take a pill for any complaint I have. I’d rather get adjusted first and see how I feel after.  One day I hope to open a chiropractic office myself. I’m currently a business major at TWU and I want to take my degree in business and passion for chiropractic and turn it into something great, just like Hands on Health.
I love coming to work every day and watching patients feel better and get the care they deserve. With my boyfriend being a chiropractor, my mom working at a chiropractic college and me working here I am surrounded by something I love!
