Dr. Meredith’s Story...
From 1999-2002 she attended Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, TX. She was named "Best Intern" out of her graduating class, August 2002.
In 2002, Dr. Meredith opened Hands on Health Chiropractic in Grapevine, and she is still practicing there. She is one of the few chiropractors in the area to offer True Spinal Decompression on the DRX 9000C.
“I chose to become a chiropractor, because fourteen years ago I was playing high-school volleyball and was forced to sit on the sidelines due to lower back pain. I was taking 16 Advil per day to mask the pain just so I could step out on the court and try to compete again. After my parents learned of the harmful side effects to the drugs, they took me to a chiropractor. The chiropractor did an exam, took some x-rays, and explained to me what was causing the lower back pain. What the chiropractor did and said made so much sense that I decided to become a chiropractor.”

Dr. Kelly’s Story...
I never wanted to be a chiropractor. To be honest, I had no idea what I wanted to be when I grew up. My older brother was finishing up his degree in chiropractic when he convinced me to give it a try. While I was very excited to begin on a career path, I was not passionate about my career choice.
Within a few short weeks, as I began to learn the foundation of the chiropractic philosophy, I fell in love with Chiropractic! “What a wonderful concept!” I thought. I never realized until I was already enrolled in Chiropractic school that Chiropractic has so much to offer! You mean something as simple as specific adjustments to the spine can help relieve people from all kinds of pain, while also helping the body to heal itself from sickness and disease? What’s more exciting… is all of this is achieved using the human body’s innate or inborn intelligence without the potentially harmful effects of drugs and/ or surgery.
Since then, my passion for Chiropractic has continued to grow. I look forward everyday to helping others discover what Chiropractic can do for them and their loved ones.
Dr. Joe’s Story...
I wrestled in high school and one day at practice I injured my shoulder and upper back. My coach told me to go see a chiropractor. I did and was back on the mat at 100% a couple of days later. I chose to be a D.C. after that experience.
While I was in chiropractic college, learning the nervous system, they taught us that chiropractic could help with other things besides neck and back pain. For example headaches, asthma, digestive problems, and while it all made sense to me through lectures and studying I had my doubts. I knew chiropractic helped with shoulder and back pain because I experienced the benefit.
A little after one year into school, I learned how to adjust and my wonderful wife, Kim, let me practice on her. Kim has had asthma ever since she was little and one day she said she felt an asthma attack coming on and she could not find her inhaler. As I frantically searched for her inhaler, I began to think about what I was learning in school that related to the lungs. I cannot find the inhaler and I can hear Kim getting worse. I told her to get on the table and to let me try something. I checked the vertebrae that the nerves control the lungs and sure enough T2 (second upper back bone) was subluxated (misaligned) so now, more than ever, I was confident that what I was about to do would help. I adjusted T2 and asked her how she felt. She sat up with a surprising look on her face and took a deep breath! She could actually get the air in! We both just sat there in amazement, it was at this moment I became a true believer. She gets adjusted weekly and has used her inhaler only twice in the last three years.
I am a graduate of Parker College of Chiropractic. I absolutely love what I do. I cannot put into words the joy that I feel when my patients tell me "they are feeling better"," headaches are gone", or" I can now enjoy the things again that I once did before." My main objective is to spread the wonders of chiropractic to as many people as possible, so that they experience and truly understand the benefits of being adjusted. I have been married to my wife Kim for almost 4 years. She has been my number one supporter and patient. She has not had an asthma attack in the last 2 years Amen! Things I enjoy most are working out, playing golf, and spending time with loved ones.
Jen's Story...
Throughout High School I dealt with terrible pain in my low back, hips and knees—so much so that my legs would give out on me as I was walking to class. I cried myself to sleep at night because laying down hurt so much as well. I was diagnosed with a bleeding stomach ulcer my Senior year in high school, and was limited to what I could eat, drink—and got so sick that I was almost unable to compete in my choir’s national competition. I took some type of pain killer daily for my back and hips, as well as prescription medication for my ulcer! I knew I would not be able to lead a normal, healthy life with these kinds of problems! When my parents asked our family practitioner about it, it was attributed to “growing pains” and that I’d grow out of it. Well, that didn’t happen. I led as normal a life as possible—but I had to drug myself in order to do so!
I met a Chiropractic Assistant at a health screening that explained to me that what I was experiencing was far from normal, how Chiropractic might be able to help and convinced me to give it a try. The Chiropractor did an exam, took some x-rays and explained to me what was causing my problems. He “adjusted” my spine, and it didn’t hurt at all! After about a month, I was able to throw all of my meds in the toilet! 7 years later, I’m still pain free, and I’ve noticed I don’t get sick as often as I used to! What the chiropractor said and did made so much sense that I became a Chiropractic Assistant, and have been for 4 ½ years.
My two-year old daughter also gets adjusted weekly, to prevent her from having the problems I did. I have decided to become a Chiropractor myself, and hope my daughter makes the same smart decisions in her healthcare.
